The challenge

Wheelhouse DMG is a full-stack marketing agency that develops digital strategies and uses data science and their own proprietary technology to surface undiscovered insights and opportunities for increasing business performance. They develop complex strategies and partner with many companies to help create business value, and they wanted a fresh brand update to reflect their amazing work. Upon being brought onto the Wheelhouse DMG team as their very first designer, my first task was to give the brand a modern, clean refresh that could be implemented across all internal assets: iconography, typography, presentation design, and website design.


The process

After collaborating with the Executive VP and other members of the Wheelhouse DMG leadership team, I updated Wheelhouse’s branding and created a new brand guidelines, focusing on creating consistency between all assets, especially presentation decks. I also illustrated over 100+ unique icons in 3 color ways for use in presentations and a new facelifted website.

The final result

The final result was a clean, bright new look that still respected the original brand. The brand has evolved through the years, eventually beginning to hone in on the qualities of their company archetype, the Explorer. Presentation decks, word docs, social media, and illustrations have since been created to support the Wheelhouse brand.
